The art sculpture “Shark” was created back in 2018. It was the conceptualization of a sculpturing layering technique we wanted to test and with a childhood fascination to the sea and its big creatures, it was only natural to choose the great white for illustration. It became a 1:1 model of a big shark consisting of 93 layers of white acrylic catching light and reflections.
Through the years the shark has been swimming around up in the air, but now it’s time to settle down and what better place than its birthplace at Odense Harbor. Today it swims on Byens Ø where it can spark awe in the little ones and give joy to curious bystanders. At night the shark change the scenery transforming itself from white to a colorful and calming lighthouse in the dark.
