The Square is a special artwork working as a platform for light animations. It’s four big boxes standing in a Square creates a space for exploring. With a total of 3840 individually controllable pixels the Square comes to life at twilight, playing sequences of animated light telling stories. The cascade of light is both beautiful and alluring, gathering people to the square to share the moment together.

Winter 2024 Program – Chaos Engine Art Studio have made their modern interpretation of H.C. Andersen’s fairytale “Skyggen” (The Shadow) in light animations. It explores the topic of identity and tells the story of self-discovery, freedom, and our need for independence. The story plays out in five scenes, each with its own colorful expression to support the narrative.
